MANDAI T15 TREKKING TRAIL
Sat, 17 Oct 2026
8.30am to 11.30am

Welcome to the northern end of Singapore Nature Reserve. We meet on Sat, 17 Oct 2026 at 8.30am, Springleaf MRT, Exit 2, street level.

This is a scenic walk through a semi-forest trail. It is an easy 4.5km walk and it is important to remember that we also share this trail with our cyclist friends. The are many sidetracks here but we will be taking the route that is recommended and that is also the safest.

Bring all your anti-insect repellents. Do come with an adventurous spirit and we’ll explore what other opportunities that may come along the way.

Highlights include remnants of old kampong farms and trails, including pig and poultry farms. There are many remnants and reminders that people once used to live along this track.

What makes this reserve truly remarkable is that it shelters one of the last remnants of primary rainforest in Singapore – the same ancient forest that once covered much of the island before modern times. Within its boundaries live more than 500 species of animals and 1,000 species of flowering plants, including the shy Sunda pangolin, long-tailed macaques, flying lemurs, and the spectacular banded woodpecker.

The air here feels cooler, purer, and somehow older – as if you’ve stepped back into a time when Singapore was still wild and untamed. So come join your ole Uncle Chris for a peaceful morning adventure through Mandai’s green heart. Together, we’ll experience the quiet side of Singapore few ever get to see.
