Holland Village has always been described as being Bohemian. It is certainly a wealthy precinct. It has a pleasant atmosphere and a friendly neighbourhood.

While things cost a little more, it isn’t exactly out of reach for most people. So, on the weekends, Holland Village is often packed with merry-makers. It is a colourful street at Lorong Mambong.

Holland V, as it is popularly known, was given an extra edge when the local television network made a TV series simply titled “Holland V”. That was an unexpected boost to all things at Holland Village. It was an all-star cast that made Holland Village even more popular. It has been some years now. So, how has “Holland V” been moving lately?

We’ll take a slow walk on this tour and appreciate its history and stories. We’ll see if Holland Village has anything to do with the country, Holland. Wessex Estate, just a hop away, is a different place.

Richer in history, complete with colonial Black & White houses, it is tranquil, rustic and full of old-world British charm. Tanglin Halt on the way to Wessex Estate is but a bonus.

We meet at Holland Village MRT at 9am on the 8th of Oct 2023. This tour ends at the very pleasant Colbar Café at Wessex Estate, at about 11.30am.
