Join us on a fascinating tour of Lim Chu Kang Road, one of Singapore’s five heritage roads. The lush country road, just past the “40 Lampposts,” is often overlooked, but hides a rich history, culture, and heritage.
We’ll meet at Choa Chu Kang MRT at 9 am and take a scenic bus ride for 40 minutes to Lim Chu Kang Road. Our walk will be a little over 2km, maybe 3, and will include part of Lim Chu Kang Road, especially the dual-lane country road, and if we still have the energy, we’ll include Jalan Bahtera.
We’ll explore the war, defence, farming, and country life, and the progress of Singapore.
This tour is a must-see for anyone interested in Singapore’s history and culture. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover why Lt. General Yamashita chose to arrive in Singapore via Lim Chu Kang.
Join us at 9am, Sunday, 14th January 2024, at Choa Chu Kang MRT. Take Exit A and meet us in front of McDonald’s. Don’t miss this chance to explore one of Singapore’s hidden gems.
